Jade Chan is the Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner at AWS, Motivational Speaker and Leadership Coach. Her role is to improve the diversity and inclusion of employees, programs and the ecosystem across AWS. Jade’s diversity & inclusion scope is global and she travels the world sharing inspirational messages of leadership and inclusion based on her 10+ years of experience. Prior to this role, Jade led the national Diversity and Inclusion efforts at The Riveter across the United States in her role as Director of Diversity & Inclusion.

Jade is known for her work in accelerating the advancement of diverse individuals in the workplace, eliminating equity gaps, and increasing authentic diversity advocacy representation in leadership. Jade started as a youth activist in Lincoln Heights and has since worked in over 15 organizations building strategies to advance people, culture and organizations representing over 130 languages, interfaith, LGBTQ+, ages 7-80, immigrant, undocumented, and international backgrounds. Jade is credited for launching legacy programs across the US including APU’s EmpowHER Career Night Conference sponsored by Target, Social Justice Week at MSMU LA, LGBTQ+ Founders & Allyship Series with Google, and leading a team of award winning Inclusive Marketing professionals at the most diverse college in Washington State.

Jade grew up in the East Los Angeles area and received her degree in Criminology & Law from the University of California-Irvine, and her Masters in Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Jade currently resides in Seattle and loves her multicultural family, hiking, traveling and exploring diverse cuisines.
